Covid’19 Update : Biosecurity measures and travel restrictions are in place to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Read about what measures are in place when traveling in or out of Australia.

 

Pre-departure testing

Passengers travelling to Australia must be tested for COVID-19 72 hours or less prior to the scheduled flight departure, and display evidence of a negative test result at the time of check-in. COVID-19 PCR testing is required. Passengers arriving on a green safe travel zone flight are exempt from pre-departure testing requirements. Countries where COVID-19 PCR testing is not reasonably available are also exempt, as determined by the Australian Government.

Members of a travelling party who have been primary close contacts (e.g. household contacts) of a traveller who has a positive COVID-19 test result will also not be allowed to travel to Australia until all members of the party are no longer infectious.

 

Mask requirements

Passengers and crew on all international flights must wear a face mask during their flight and while in an Australian airport. Passengers are also encouraged to wear masks in overseas airports. Masks are not required for children under 12 years of age and those with an official medical certificate stating the passenger cannot wear a mask.

 

Quarantine for incoming travellers

To prevent the spread of COVID-19, travelers arriving in Australia by air or sea may need to go into government approved mandatory quarantine for 14 days from arrival

COVID-19 affects different people in different ways. Most infected people will develop mild to moderate illness and recover without hospitalization.

Most common symptoms:

fever

dry cough

tiredness

Less common symptoms:

aches and pains

sore throat

diarrhoea

conjunctivitis

headache

loss of taste or smell

a rash on skin, or discolouration of fingers or toes

COVID’19 UPDATES:

27 Sept

Australia Covid’19 Update :1045 new locally acquired cases in Australia and 5 acquired from overseas. NSW still is at higher figure of 965 and Victoria has got 64 new cases. ACT just had 20 and best part is all other states have ZERO new cases. In total have got 19,944 active cases and approx 480 people are hospitalised due to covid. Premier has confirmed that good days are ahead and lockdown will be over in mid of Oct sometime.

 

14 Sept

Australia Covid’19 Update : 1470 locally acquired cases in last 24 hours. 06 overseas acquired in last 24 hours. Having 18437 Active cases. Situations are really getting worse. Australian Health department are managing the COVID-19 outbreak in Australia as a health emergency. Premier even announced to open up NSW once we touch 70% mark of vaccination of both doses.

 

31 Aug

Australia Covid’19 Update : 1220 locally acquired cases in last 24 hours. 04 overseas acquired in last 24 hours. Having 19133 Active cases. Situations are really getting worse and as experts says lockdown may extend further for the month of October as well. All citizens are advised to stay indoors unless it is utmost urgent to step out.

 

24 Aug

Australia Covid’19 Update : 886 locally acquired cases in last 24 hours. 03 overseas acquired in last 24 hours. Having 11662 Active cases. More Strict guidelines and rules apply in whole of NSW and Australia. ACT also has 21 cases today and is under lockdown.

 

21 Aug

LOCKDOWN EXTENDED TILL SEND OF SEPTEMBER

STAY AT HOME ORDER EXTENDED AND ADDITIONAL RESTRICTIONS FOR NSW

In response to the evolving Delta outbreak, NSW will extend the current lockdown in Greater Sydney until the end of September, and introduce new rules targeting the local government areas of concern, where the vast majority of new cases are emerging.

 

17 Aug

NSW : Stay at home orders and new restrictions apply to all of NSW including regional and rural areas until 12.01am Sunday 22 August. The entire state lockdown came into effect at  5pm Saturday 14 August.

At this stage lockdown rules for Greater Sydney including the Blue Mountains, Central Coast, Wollongong and Shellharbour are in place until 28 August.

For the following 12 LGAs in Sydney: Fairfield, Canterbury-Bankstown, Liverpool, Cumberland, Blacktown, Parramatta, Georges River, Campbelltown, Bayside, Burwood, Strathfield and the following suburbs from the Penrith LGA – Caddens, Claremont Meadows, Colyton, Erskine Park, Kemps Creek, Kingswood, Mount Vernon, North St Marys, Orchard Hills, Oxley Park, St Clair and St Marys, only authorised workers are permitted to leave their LGA for work.

 

13 Aug

Australia Covid’10 Update : 375 locally acquired cases in last 24 hours. 03 overseas acquired in last 24 hours. Having 5879 Active cases. The highest cases of Delta Varient continues to show in age group of 20 to 29 with females are more in numbers.Then it is age group of 30-39 and so on.

More Strict guidelines and rules apply in whole of NSW and Australia. ACT also has 4 cases today and is under 7 days lockdown.

 

10 Aug

Australia Covid’10 Update : 298 locally acquired cases in last 24 hours. 03 overseas acquired in last 24 hours. Having 4999 Active cases. The highest cases of Delta Varient came into notice for maximum in age group of 20 to 29 with females are more in numbers.Then it is age group of 30-39 and so on. Strict guidelines and rules apply in whole of NSW and Australia. We all need to take care of ourselves and our loved ones. We at AGT humbly request all to please go and get your jab. It is important and mandatory for all.
